Last September, we reported that NRG's Lee Sung Jin was in trouble with the law because he was involved with fradulent gambling.
The former idol appeared at the Seoul Criminal District Court 3 on February 24th to continue his case, and it was discovered that he was once again unable to afford an attorney.
The trial was reported to be disorganized and a little difficult for the jury to follow, as the case was "all over the place" and Lee Sung Jin's fraudulent actions "were done in the dark."
Lee Sung Jin is currently facing major financial debt (rumored to be well over $200,000), which only seems to be increasing.
The judge stated, "Lee Sung Jin has been committing unlawful acts, both in Manila and in Korea, which are associated with casinos and illegal gambling. Lee Sung Jin currently owes a casino in Manila 133 million won ($117,705 USD) and a casino in Korea 13 million won ($11,505 USD). We will put the higher amount owed as the top priority to be paid off first."
Further hearings will begin on April 13th.
