The third season of the popular audition show 'Birth of a Great Star' has announced that they'll be opening auditions for the very first time in Canada!
Anyone who's a K-Pop lover is able to participate for a chance at a shot of fame in the growing industry. To show his support, season one contestant Shayne uploaded a promotional video encouraging auditions in Vancouver. Shayne himself had been invited to Korea in 2010 and made it to the top three under the direction of mentor Shin Seung Hoon.
He went on to contract with Sony Music Korea to receive top quality training and musical support. He's currently working actively with album releases and concerts while learning Korean and practicing his composition and lyric writing skills.
Upon hearing that auditions for the show would be opening in Vancouver, he approached producers first to create a three minute video on YouTube. Eventually, producers thought it'd be best if he joined them for the actual auditions in Vancouver.
Scheduled for August 15th at the Hilton Metrotown Hotel, Shayne will be greeting audition goers with his own inspirational story of success. For those in Vancouver, the audition begins at 10 a.m., and applications can be submitted through mbcca@mbc.co.kr.
Auditions will also be opening in Sydney, Australia on August 4th, Los Angeles, U.S. on the 12th, and finally New York, U.S. on the 18th. The New York auditions will be held at the Intercontinental New York Barclay Hotel starting 10 a.m. Applications can be submitted through mbcny@mbc.co.kr.
