MBC's Sunday evening variety continues to flounder

BY mountainmadman · August 13, 2012

Suffering from the ill effects of the prolonged strike and lack of quality, MBC's Sunday evening variety block has been reduced to a shell of its former self as competing programs from KBS and SBS leave no room for MBC to gain a foothold.

The latest episodes of MBC's 'Infinity Girls' and 'I Am a Singer 2' gained ratings of 2.2% and 6.1% respectively, according to AGB Nielson. This is in comparison with their competitors, which all scored higher than MBC's programs.

KBS's 'Happy Sunday' (consisting of 'Qualifications of Men' and '1 Night 2 Days Season 2') earned 14.2%, while SBS's 'Good Sunday' ('Running Man' and 'Laws of the Jungle 2') took first place with 16.8%.

What do you think the problem is for MBC? How can they get back on top?
