Google releases list of top trending searches of South Korea in 2014

As 2014 is coming to a close, Google collected data to see which phrases were the most searched for in the country of South Korea throughout this past year. Unsurprisingly, many hit dramas and celebrities made the list.  Check out the categories and the top ten searches in each one below!

The list for most searched names features some top-notch Korean celebrities, who were all the rage this year, such as HyunA in 2nd, Hyosung in 4th, IU in 6th, Girl's Day in 7th, Shin Hae Chul in 8th, EXO in 9th, and Clara in 10th.  There were also notable athletes, such as figure skater Kim Yuna in 1st and baseball star Ryu Hyun Jin in 3rd, not to mention the infamous Yoo Byung Eun in 5th.

As for most searched items in relation to TV, the list goes:

3. You Who Came From the Stars
4. Witch Hunt
5. Abnormal Summit
6. Superman is Back
7. Jung Do Jeon
8. Jang Bo Ri is Here!
