Several songs from Big Star's new mini album deemed unfit for broadcast by SBS, KBS, and MBC

BY jubilantj · September 3, 2015
Rookie boy group Big Star have received a "no" from several broadcast stations, who have deemed several songs off their upcoming album inappropriate for public broadcast.

4 of the songs on the group's third mini album 'Shine a Moonlight' including "Birthday," "Will You or Will You Not Give It to Me", "Why Are You Being Like This", and "Outro", have been ruled unfit.

SBS have said no to 3 of the songs, while MBC have found 2 of the songs inappropriate, and KBS have also found 2 of the songs problematic.

The reasons that the broadcast stations gave are that the lyrics are either quite sexual, or contains coarse language.

Big Star's agency Brave Entertainment relayed, "The songs that passed the review are different for each station because the review standards aren't the same for each broadcasting company. We don't plant to request another review since these aren't the songs [Big Star] will be promoting with. We will instead sing the songs during a concert later on for fan service. The title song 'Moonlight Sonata' passed the review so there shouldn't be any issues with promotions."
