Finally, what we have all been waiting for, Heo Joon Jae is reunited with his mother! While I was just screaming in my mind for them to cross the street already and reunite (before a dramatic twist like a car hitting them or something happened), I am happy the drama made the reunion a comfortable and peaceful one. No drama, no stress, no sudden twist - just pure emotion and love that showcased the never ending love of a mother and her son.

Shim Cheong's birthday party was another great way to showcase Shim Cheong's innocence and somewhat immature style. Jun Ji Hyun effortlessly continues to portray Shim Cheon's quirky in a beautiful way.
She seems to put a lot of her own personality into this character and Shim Cheong evolves into a more naturally appealing character because of it! For example, her desire to repetitiously blow out the candles and make is just too dang cute!

Things are getting more complicated involving the character's relationships. It seems that Shim Cheong didn't use enough power to erase Jo Nam Doo's memory because he is revealed to be recollecting his moment of discovering Shim Cheong is a mermaid. His character is also shown to be henchmen to Chi Hyun in the past as well and it definitely gives me the creeps as he starts to look as sinister as Ma Dae Young when he smiles.
While we are on the subject, let's discuss Chi Hyun. The drama has taken a real big step into his parent's past and his affiliation to Ma Dae Young. Just like his rotten parents, he feels he can't live life the same as others and it burdens him. His mother does say one amazing thing that I can believe to be true in this world, "People always believe someone who is powerless." Is it because powerless people never lie or simply seem incapable of it? Food for thought, yo.

I really don't get what is up with Heo Joon Jae's father. He is blind to the B.S (literally) surrounding him and, although it is crucial for his character to be so stubborn, I feel viewers around the globe want to knock some sense into him.
Heo Joon Jae tries to rescue him - but ultimately fails and ends things on a bad note. I only expected Heo Joon Jae to simply warn him and check on his condition, not force him out from the home. Sadly, I feel this argument is really going to create more moments of regret and fuel a more crucial scene in future episodes. Despite the warnings, it seems Heo Joon Jae's father can't come to terms with Heo Joon Jae and stop loving Kang Seo Hee.

At least his mom has some sort of logic. Did anyone else completely die of laughter when Heo Joon Jae's mom drew the line between Cha Si Ah's "fantasy relationship" with Heo Joon Jae? I just love her quick reflexes as she dodged Cha Si Ah's hug and basically said, "Don't call me mother."

Finally, Shim Cheong is showing her bravery and wowed me completely as she confronted Ma Dae Young and completely wiped out his memories. But we weren't expecting one thing - through erasing her memories she was finally able to discover her ill-fated past's not-so-happy-ending.
Because of this, she feels Heo Joon Jae is, yet again, a liar and is taken aback by everything that happens. As the credits start rolling up, and Shim Cheong is seen clenching her heart and staggering, I wonder is Ma Dae Young's memories are really arrested or if he will carry his crime of killing her. Hopefully, she can escape without damaging her legs!
