Actor Shin Dong Wook opens up about his rare, incurable illness

Actor Shin Dong Wook opened up about suffering with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome/Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (CRPS) on the May 24 episode of 'Radio Star'. 

Back in 2010, Shin Dong Wook halted all promotions after being diagnosed with the rare, incurable illness. After 6 years, Shin Dong Wook has finally returned to broadcasts, recently making his first public appearance with a bright smile. 

During the talk show, he revealed, "My teeth broke while I was trying to resist the pain... Now, it's just my hands that hurt, and the other places on my body have been treated. I don't feel much pain now. The last pain I felt was the cold. In the past, it used to feel like I was getting stabbed with a knife when the cold wind blew. Now, even the air conditioner is ok."
