
The shutdown applies to the main Seoul metropolitan government office building including the Seoul city hall, as well as other divisional secondary buildings. Starting March 30, workplace computers will be shut off every Friday evenings for these government workers, unless one requests an exemption.
In the second and fourth week of April, the shutdown hour will be pulled up to 7:30PM KST. Beginning in May, the shutdown hour will be pulled up to 7PM KST.
Currently, Korea's national government is debating the decrease of maximum weekly working hours from 68 to 52.
