MBC Music announces new hip-hop competition aiming to put first ever K-hip-hop song on the Billboard charts
BY Susan-Han · September 11, 2018
On September 11, MBC Music confirmed the news of a brand new large-scale hip-hop competition show in the works.
The title of this upcoming new program is 'Target: Billboard - KILL BILL' ('KILL BILL' for short). The ultimate goal of this program is to have the first ever, Korean hip-hop track chart on the Billboard's music chart. Seven of Korea's top hip-hop artists will reportedly compete with large-scale performances each week - the first confirmed artist among the 7 is Dok2 of Illionaire Records. The final winner of 'KILL BILL' will receive a chance to collaborate with a worldwide, foreign hip-hop artist.
'Target: Billboard - KILL BILL' is set to premiere some time in November through MBC Music, MBC every1, and MBC dramanet. Do you find the show's premise interesting so far?
