Verbal Jint apologizes to GFRIEND and their fans for confusion regarding his new single's title

Verbal Jint has released a public apology regarding the confusing title of his latest single "Gfriend." The single, which was released on October 21, drew a negative reaction from fans of the girl group GFRIEND, especially as the song features suggestive lyrical content.
On October 22, the rapper took to his personal Instagram account to clarify his reasoning behind the title, explaining that his influence came from Young Thug's 2016 album 'Jeffrey,' where each track was titled after different celebrities, including Kanye West, Wyclef Jean, and Rihanna.
"In my short-sightedness, I never imagined that I would offend the real GFRIEND and their fans," he commented, adding that he will find a way to change the title of the already-released single as soon as possible. "Once again, I'm sorry to everyone I may have hurt."
