LOONA's Kim Lip shared the story behind her stage name.
On November 20, LOONA and fromis_9 guested on JTBC's 'Idol Room.' The MCs pointed out that members of fromis_9 use their legal names while the members of LOONA have unique stage names. They were especially curious about the name Kim Lip, and asked, "Why is your name Kim Lip?"
Kim Lip replied, "My agency created it for me because I have a unique legal name." She brought laughter as she revealed, "My legal name is Kim Jung Eun (which sounds similar to Kim Jong Un)... So they created the stage name Kim Lip for me."
