Details on the other members of Jung Joon Young and Seungri's controversial chatroom have been revealed.
Jung Joon Young has already been charged with filming and distributing hidden camera sex tapes without consent, while Seungri has reportedly admitted to sharing the illegally filmed footage. According to the March 28th episode ofMBC's 'Newsdesk', the controversial chatroom had 14 members in all, and 8 of those 14 are reported to be singers. Along with illegally filmed and shared videos of victims, the chatroom reportedly included a lot of misogynistic messages and discussion about using the illegal footage as blackmail against the victims.
'Newsdesk' stated there were 7 chatrooms where illegal footage was shared, and each had 3-7 members, including Jung Joon Young, Seungri, former F.T. Island member Jonghun, former Highlight member Junhyung, singer K, singer J, and two other singers. Other members included model L, former Yuri Holdings CEO Yoo In Suk, 'Burning Sun' employees, and Jung Joon Young's acquaintance. In one instance, Seungri's acquaintance Mr. Kim said of a victim who owed him money, "Should I release this video if she doesn't pay up?"
More on Jung Joon Young's hidden camera case in 2016 has also been unveiled. According to reports, Jung Joon Young had a habit of sharing images and videos of women's bodies in a chatroom with his celebrity friends, and it started with a photo of a woman who sat ahead of him on the plane. Other victims included women at a hotel in Taiwan, his apartment, a Gangnam restaurant, an adult entertainment business, and more. All the videos are reported to have been taken without the victim's awareness. It's also been reported he was forced to deleted footage after being caught by a woman at his home in 2015.
As previously reported, singer Jung Joon Young is facing a court trial for a total of 11 cases of distributing illegal content, while former F.T. Island member Jonghun faces 3 cases.
