On April 19, singer/composer Maybee took to her Instagram to dedicate an apologetic letter to her fans, family, friends, etc.
Previously, it was reported that Maybee's mother owed lender 'A' an amount of approximately 50 million KRW (~ $44,166.00 USD), unpaid since 2015. Then, in a legal dispute between 'A' and Maybee in September of last year, the court ruled that there was not enough evidence to prove that Maybee could be held responsible for the debut amount. After this dispute, Maybee still apologized to 'A' and assured that 'A' would be able to receive the debt payment from her mother; however, as of this past April 17, the promise was allegedly not kept.
In her Instagram letter, Maybee revealed, "It was a difficult process to work out each of the details with my family. It is not true that the amount my mother borrowed was used for my marriage funds. I was not aware of what happened regarding this matter until now, but this is also my fault for not looking after my family."
She continued, "Today, I met with the victim and resolved all issues. I also relayed my apologies. I'm sorry to all who cheered me on and showed me their love. I can't hide my feelings of apology toward my husband and son. From here on, I will show that I am working hard to live honestly."
Meanwhile, Maybee and her husband/actor Yoon Sang Hyun are currently appearing on 'Sam Bed, Different Dreams' season 2.
