On September 12, BTS Jimin tweeted his sweet birthday congratulatory message for BTS leader Kim Namjoon, more commonly known as “RM”. The tweet, in Korean, said “Happy birthday, Namjoon. More blessings to you and don’t get sick. #Jimin #HappyBirthdayMoni”.

However, the tweet was translated from Korean by Google as “Happy Birthday to my boyfriend. Be blessed and don’t get sick.” Many users rely on auto translation used by Twitter.
Consequently, a lot of them were left dazed and confused by what they have read. Luckily, some netizens posted the more accurate translation in the comments.

Immediately thereafter, the tickled netizens trended keywords such as THE TRANSLATION and MY BOYFRIEND, along with other keywords such as “Jiminie”, “MiniMoni” and “MinJoon” (Jimin and Namjoon’s subunit name), as they posted about the hilarious and unexpected translation of Jimin’s tweet. The keywords instantly trended on several countries including South Korea, USA, Philippines and Indonesia.

Furthermore, RM did a live broadcast celebrate his birthday. Jimin and the other members joined RM briefly. They started the broadcast by singing a birthday song for RM before he blew the candles. As usual, “Cake Fairy” Jimin is in charge of the with the help of J-Hope and Jungkook.
Jimin likewise became a hot topic after sending a short but sweet message to ARMY. Jimin said "This is for you" then flashed a finger heart to the camera before leaving the live broadcast.
