Megan Thee Stallion states that her own record label won't let her release the remix of "Butter" with BTS

Megan Thee Stallion is claiming that her own record label is preventing her from releasing her newest song.

According to TMZ, an American entertainment news outlet, Megan Thee Stallion, claims that her label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, is preventing her from releasing a new song with BTS. According to the entertainment news outlet, Megan Thee Stallion is the featuring artist in the remix version of "Butter" by BTS.

The exclusive TMZ article states that Megan wants the collab to be released, "to help expand her international fanbase, thanks to BTS' massive brand." Unfortunately, Megan's record label, 1501 Certified Entertainment, is allegedly blocking the release. Further in the TMZ article, "She claims 1501 told her they don't believe the song would be good for her recording career -- but she says that excuse is just a cover -- and deep down the label is trying to shake her down for 6-figures and force her to pay them to sign off on the song's release."

Therefore, she has taken it to court to request legal help. Apparently, this is not the first time that the artist was given a hard time releasing new music. She had also been given a hard time releasing new music last year. In turn, she had the court prohibit 1501 Certified Entertainment and Carl Crawford, CEO of the label, from blocking the release of her new music.

Hopefully, this all works out, as we would love to hear a "Butter" remix with BTS and Megan Thee Stallion.
