The '36th Golden Disc Awards' announces major category nominees

The upcoming '36th Golden Disc Awards' has officially announced its major category nominees, ahead of its live ceremony coming up on January 8, 2022. 

First, the following artists have been nominated in the 'Digital Bonsang' category (Korean alphabetical order): (G)I-DLE, AKMU, Ash Island, GyeongseoYeji, Jeon Gun Ho, Davichi, Red Velvet, BLACKPINK's Rosé, BTS, Ben, Brave Girls, Big Mama, SHINee, Sojung, Song Yi Han, STAYC, IU, aespa, Oh My Girl, Lee Mu Jin, Lee Ye Jun, Lim Young Woong, ITZY, Jeon So Mi, Jung Dong Ha, Red Velvet's Joy, Taeyeon, TWICE, Huh Gak, Heize, and HyunA.

Second, the following artists have been nominated in the 'Album Bonsang' category (Korean alphabetical order): (G)I-DLE, 2PM, ENHYPEN, NCT, NCT 127, NCT Dream, GOT7, Golden Child, Kim Ho Joong, NU'EST, The Boyz, EXO's D.O, MONSTA X, BTS, Seventeen, Super Junior, Stray Kids, ASTRO, IU, aespa, ATEEZ, ONEUS, TVXQ's Yunho, LOONA, ITZY, CRAVITY, SHINee's Key, TOMORROW x TOGETHER, TWICE, and Pentagon.

Finally, the following artists will compete for the title of the 'Rookie Artist of the Year' award: Kwon Eun Bi, MIRAE, STAYC, aespa, OMEGA X, Lee Chan Won, EPEX, Jo Yu Ri, and PURPLE K!SS. 

Meanwhile, the '36th Golden Disc Awards' is set to take place on January 8 at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, and will be broadcast live via JTBC.
