LOONA's YeoJin updated fans through the app FAB after losing the lawsuit against BlockBerry Creative.
On January 13th, it was reported Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry have won their lawsuits to suspend their exclusive contracts with Blockberry Creative, while Haseul, Yeojin, Yves, Go Won and Olivia Hye lost. The results mean the exclusive contracts of the 4 members who won have now been suspended, while the remaining 5 are remaining as labelmates.
On the same day, YeoJin updated fans, saying: "Orbits, have you been doing well? It's my first message in so long, so I'm really nervous but first, the news is true. Since I was young, up until now, it has been a very difficult time to endure. The lawsuit was scary and difficult," and after expressing being grateful to the fandom, she said: "I'm so sorry, I haven't contact you for all this time. I'm so sorry".
On January 14th, YeoJin added, "The anxiety made me feel there would be no hope, nothing, and nobody left by my side, it made me suffer all day. I couldn't help but wonder how I could escape this time. I didn't ask for much, I just wanted to be treated fairly, but I think my dreams were shattered".
Another downhearted update was made on January 15th at 3:55 a.m. at night by YeoJin, stating: "Orbits, are you asleep? I was watching videos of our performances... After going back and forth between crying and laughing while watching them. My head hurts so much. What if I could never get back on the stage? This anxious thought keeps circling in my head and I don't know what to do".
She continued, "Watching the fancams makes me tear up because I want to get back on the stage.I want to do concerts again, music shows, fansigns, fan meetings and so many things. I'm so frustrated, upset and angry. I'm so sorry to bring up something like this late at night. I know Orbits are having a hard time too. I'm so sorry for making you read something like this. I've never been this desperate before. At which point did everything go wrong? I don't know. I'm so scared that I'll never get back on the stage. I'm so afraid that I'll never get to see Orbits again. Orbits, I miss you so so much. I'm extremely worried that I didn't tell you how much I love you. I'm just full of guilt that I didn't make you happier, so I think right now is the moment that I would like to erase the most. It's dark right now. I want to go back to the days when it was bright. Let's go back together".
After reading LOONA's youngest member's updates, fans commented: "I feel powerless, clearly only boycotting BlockBerry Creative isn't enough," "YeoJin was only 14 years old when that company made her sign that contract, this is insane," "My heart is broken after reading her," "I can’t even describe the sinking feeling I got while reading it," "They can't be more vocal about it, they really want to be out of that company," and "BlockBerry Creative, just disband LOONA."
