On April 21, Jang Sung Kyu held his final broadcast for MBC FM4U's 'Good Morning FM This Is Jang Sung Kyu' radio show.
On this day, he bid farewell to the radio show and shared, "I was able to meet and form good relationships through Good Morning FM. Let's stay healthy and happy since we're going to meet again. It was a happy 3 years and 7 months."
This day also happens to be Jang Sung Kyu's birthday. Receiving congratulations from the viewers, he expressed his gratitude, "I assure you, if I was told to choose the most memorable birthday in my life, even after 30, 40 years from now, I would pick today."
Jang Sung Kyu also revealed his affection for his son Ha Joon, who supported him. He said, "The first broadcast day was 2019 September 30. During that time, I remember connecting to Ha Joon on the phone. I remember feeling like crying after hearing Ha Joon's voice."
He added, "In the morning, Ha Jooni said to do well on the last radio broadcast and wished me a happy birthday. My tears burst out suddenly. I felt like Ha Joon was supporting me for my first and last broadcast."
On the other hand, Jang Sung Kyu drew attention by hosting the radio in a black suit that day. This was to tribute to Moonbin, who suddenly passed away on April 19.
On April 20, Jang Sung Kyu shared with a shaking voice on Good Morning FM, "There was tragic news this morning. It was the news that ASTRO's Moonbin passed away in his apartment. I saw him recently and he was so bright, so I still can't believe it."
ASTRO's Moonbin was found dead in his apartment on April 19 at around 8:10 PM. He was only 25 years old. The police are investigating the exact cause of his death. Moonbin's funeral procession and burial site will not be disclosed.
