aespa to take the mound and throw out the ceremonial first pitch at Yankee Stadium

aespa is set to make history by taking the mound for a legendary Major League Baseball team.

According to an announcement from the official social media accounts of the New York Yankees, aespa will throw out the ceremonial first pitch in the game between the New York Yankees and the Chicago White Sox. This exciting event will take place at the renowned New York Yankees Stadium on June 8.

The last time a girl group member threw out the ceremonial first pitch in a Major League game was nine years ago when Suzy had the honor at Dodger Stadium during a matchup between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Cincinnati Reds. Back then, baseball player Ryu Hyun Jin was part of the Dodgers team.

Regrettably, Giselle will not be participating in this ceremonial event due to health issues. 

The three remaining members - Karina, Ningning, and Winter -  will be continuing their activities in the States and will be showcasing their talents on stage at the upcoming music festival, 'The Governor's Ball Music Festival.' This highly anticipated event will be held at Corona Park, Flushing Meadows, New York, from June 9 to 11.
