A modeling agency executive reveals The Givers rejected a lucrative advertisement offer for FIFTY FIFTY without the ATTRAKT CEO's knowledge

In the latest development of the FIFTY FIFTY controversy,  it has been revealed that The Givers had knowledge of the members' change of heart and began manipulating their schedules. This new revelation has set off a ripple effect with significant implications. 

As reported by TV Daily, Director B of The Givers, responsible for correspondence with FIFTY FIFTY, received a phone call on May 19 regarding a lucrative advertisement opportunity. A famous eyewear brand, recognizing the potential of FIFTY FIFTY's popularity on the U.S. Billboard chart, presented an unconventional offer.

Mr. A, an executive at a modeling agency, revealed, "At the time, the eyewear brand offered to hire FIFTY FIFTY as models regardless of the cost to hire them." He added, "Despite being offered the same amount as what is typically offered to artists at NewJeans' level, I was left perplexed by the response I received."

Mr. A intended to discuss the matter with ATTRAKT CEO Jun Hong Joon but discovered that the CEO had left the country on May 18 to sign contracts with U.S. agencies, rendering communication impossible.

Mr. A then contacted Director B, hoping for further answers. However, the conversation grew increasingly absurd. Mr. A shared, "I knew one of the members was receiving treatment, so I said, 'We can wait until the second half of the year. Can't we go through with the advertisement then?' but Director B just said, 'No.' When I asked about when the group will be returning to activities, he said he didn't know." 

The executive at the modeling agency continued to share, "I was perplexed even after hanging up the phone. So I remember talking with the brand advertisement side and sharing that I think there is an issue going on with the group. Usually, if the artists can't be active right away, they would ask to reschedule for a later time. But he spoke as if there was no next time."

Coincidentally, CEO Jun Hong Joon was actively working to enhance FIFTY FIFTY's brand value at the time. He had even met with various brands, including prominent pizza chains, accompanied by Director Choi Seung Ho, just before departing for the United States. This contrasted starkly with Director B's actions and revealed the divergence in objectives between ATTRAKT and The Givers.

This phone call shed light on the conflicting dynamics at play. Even on May 19, CEO Jun, who was in the U.S., remained unaware of the members' application for an injunction against exclusive contracts. However, The Givers' side rejected the advertising contract, seemingly anticipating the situation and expressing uncertainty about the members' return to activities.

Notably, ATTRAKT CEO received no reports from The Givers regarding the advertising proposal or other suggested schedules via email or other means. ATTRAKT further alleges that The Givers intentionally deleted project-related data, including company emails and email content about the takeover.

Consequently, a complaint was filed against Ahn Sung Il and three others at the Gangnam Police Station, citing obstruction of business, destruction of electronic records, fraud, and breach of trust. The Givers, however, maintains the position that ATTRAKT's accusations are false and asserts that its business operations were conducted in compliance with legal procedures.
