Lightsticks are one of K-Pop's unique merchandise, as each group has their own thoughtfully custom-made ones to represent their fandom, and at concerts, these lightsticks are used to make the colorful "oceans."
However, there has been an ongoing debate in the K-Pop community about whether or not it is proper etiquette to bring another artist’s lightstick to a concert. Since lightsticks are used to represent their fandom and a way to show support to the artist, some fans feel that it's inappropriate and even disrespectful to bring another artist's lightstick to someone's concert.
Whatever your opinion on the discourse may be, here we have 5 K-Pop idols who have approved their audience bringing other lightsticks to their concert.
xiaojun’s ment today 😭
— 🍒 THE SHOW MC XIAOJUN (@smoldejuns) June 8, 2023
“someone actually brought a TWICE lightstick today… it’s okay, it was also green 🤣 it has always been my dream to come to europe… and i think because of wayzenni, i was able to fulfil my dream! thank you 💗” pic.twitter.com/SgKreuLmjk
When WayV was in Europe for their Phantom fan meeting, Xiaojun pointed to a fan who brought a CANDYBONG, TWICE's lightstick. He laughed with the members and told the fan that it was okay since they made the light turn green like WayV and NCT's color.
kpoopies having a whole discourse about not bringing lightsticks of other fandoms and then you have mark who turns it into a 'guess who this belongs to' game pic.twitter.com/rivujsLh4a

When Mark Tuan went on his solo '2022 the other side North American Tour,' fans would obviously bring their AHGABONG (GOT7's), but Mark didn't mind and would have fun recognizing the different lightsticks in the crowd, proving that he is also a multi-fan himself!

🐹thank you for matching our color
🦁its okay, if its not a moobong. It just has to be a green ls
the girls had fun teasing and were touched for the support🥹🤟🏻💕 pic.twitter.com/o0XZ7kHsDj
Instead of playing a guessing game as Mark did, MAMAMOO showed off that they knew all of the lightsticks that were at their 2023 “MY CON” World Tour. Solar teased the crowd about it, but Moonbyul and Hwasa showed their appreciation because despite them being other lightsticks, they matched MAMAMOO's lightstick color; green.
