Actor Tony Leung and former Cosmic Girls (WJSN) member Cheng Xiao are at the center of a surprising romantic rumor despite their 36-year age difference.
According to Chinese news outlet Sina on August 12 local time, there has been a rumor in local media that the two have been having an extramarital affair, with Cheng Xiao having even given birth to their love child despite Tony Leung's marriage to actress Carina Lau.
While Cheng Xiao's management has yet to release a statement in response to the rumor, Tony Leung's agency has stated, "There is no need to pay attention to rumors. [This claim is] absurdly fake. Please become happy and optimistic people."
Meanwhile, Cheng Xiao debuted in Cosmic Girls (WJSN) in 2016 and moved to focus on activities in China as of 2019, officially leaving the group earlier this year. Tony Leung first debuted in 1982 and became a top star thanks to the critically acclaimed film 'In the Mood for Love.' He has recently appeared in 'Hidden Blade,' 'Where the Wind Blows,' and Marvel's 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.'
