SBS' 'Unanswered Questions' officially apologized for the episode on FIFTY FIFTY.
After Dispatch disproved claims made on the episode, netizens have been accusing the show of being biased. On August 24, 'Unanswered Questions' finally addressed the backlash, stating, "The episode aired on August 19 'Unanswered Questions: Billboard and Girl Group' was produced to consider what K-pop needs for it to move forward through the FIFTY FIFTY case."
The show's producers then apologized, stating, "First of all, not in line with the producers' intentions, the episode hurt the hearts of many staff members who work for K-pop and the many fans who love K-pop. For this, we are deeply sorry. We've taken the criticism and words sent to us by the Korea Management Union and Korean Celebrity Production Union to heart."
'Unanswered Questions' also revealed there would be continued investigations into the ongoing conflict between FIFTY FIFTY and the label ATTRAKT. The show stated, "We want to make it known our program was not meant to side with either part or interest, and in terms of the few controversial issues, we'll carry out additional investigations to make up for the parts that were lacking in a follow-up episode."
