Lim Young Woong's fanclub has just donated 5 million KRW (approx. US$3.8k) to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation.
On December 15, the Korean Childhood Leukemia Foundation announced that Lim Young Woong's fanclub "Young Woong's Era Gwangju and Jeonnam" has donated 5 million KRW to the foundation.
This donation was made by 134 fans gathered to commemorate Lim Young Woong's national concert "IM HERO TOUR 2023." This donation will be used for treatment and Niver campaigns (a campaign where little dolls are made to comfort sick children) of children suffering childhood cancer or and rare and intractable diseases.
Since 2020, Young Woong's Gwangju and Jeonnam fanclub has been participating in various raising awareness for children with cancer, and through this, they have funded the treatment of seven children with cancer. They have also participated in various campaigns, including the Hickman catheter pouch making campaign and the Niver doll making campaign.
"It was a very meaningful time to make a niver doll that would soothe the hearts of children with childhood cancer," said a representative from "Young Woong's Era Gwangju and Jeonnam," adding, "I hope that Lim Young Woong's warm heart and fans' wishes can gather and that the sick children will be cured as soon as possible."
Seo Seon Won, secretary-general of the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation, said, "We would like to thank Young Woong's Era Gwangju and Jeonnam for joining us at the end of the cold year for children with cancer."
Meanwhile, the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation has been supporting childhood cancer patients and their families as a support organization specializing in childhood cancer since 1991. It also provides various psychological and social programs as well as support for treatment costs.
