What K-netizens are saying about JTBC issuing an official apology to G-Dragon

On December 21, JTBC's 'Crime Chief' officially apologized to G-Dragon in regards to the coverage of the recent drug scandal.

Yang Won Bo, the anchor of JTBC News 'Crime Chief,' has acknowledged that the preliminary reports broadcasted in the early stages of the police investigation may have contained content and information that could be perceived as inappropriate or incorrect. 

Acknowledging the potential impact of their reporting, the anchor has sincerely apologized to both G-Dragon and his fans, expressing regret for any distress or inconvenience caused.

For the past few weeks, various media outlets have been making speculations and inappropriate comments about G-Dragon while scrutinizing every detail of his behavior. JTBC was among the media outlets that made false accusations against G-Dragon during this period.

On December 21, JTBC's 'Crime Chief' apologized for the past reports on G-Dragon and removed all the articles from their site.

Translation: "In this controversy, it seems that many press outlets and even the head of the case may not feel entirely free. It was because, in fact, we conveyed content that might be difficult for G-Dragon to accept when we reported related news in the early stages of the police investigation. We also extend our sincere apologies to G-Dragon and his fans."

Korean netizens were surprised by the latest apology and one netizen commented, "There were times when a media outlet would take down videos without saying anything but I think this is the first that the anchor officially apologized. This is the first official apology. I hope other media outlets apologize too."
