'I Live Alone' episode featuring choreographer Kany sparks surge in viewership for mentioned dramas

Following choreographer Kany's recent appearance on 'I Live Alone,' the viewership of the mentioned past dramas has seen a significant boost. Wavve reported on January 31 KST that after the episode featuring SHINee's Key and Kany aired on MBC's 'I Live Alone' on January 12 KST, viewership for the related dramas has continued to rise.

The viewing time for several dramas, including 'My Husband's Woman,' which was featured in one scene during the episode, as well as 'Penthouse,' 'Temptation of Wife,' and 'The Last Empress,' has all seen an increase in viewing time. Specifically, 'My Husband's Woman,' directly mentioned in the episode, witnessed a remarkable 103.9% rise in viewership, followed by 'Temptation of Wife' with a 61.2% increase, 'Penthouse Season 1' at 31.8%, and 'The Last Empress' with a 12.3% increase.

In the 528th episode of 'I Live Alone,' viewers saw SHINee's Key visiting global choreographer Kany's newlywed home, where they embarked on a challenge to prepare Korean food for Kany's Korean mother-in-law. While making oyster radish kimchi and kimchi dumplings, they watched 'My Husband's Woman' together. Kany's enthusiasm for the unconventional plot of the drama, which involved a woman seducing her friend's husband, entertained viewers as Kany imitated a scene from the show.

With this episode generating significant buzz and increasing viewer demand, Wavve recommended K-dramas related to the works that excited Kany within the app. As a result, they reported that the number of clicks was approximately 20% higher than the average.
