On the 22nd, FNC Entertainment announced, "After long deliberation and consultation, our artists Cherry Bullet members Haeyoon, Yuju, Bora, Jiwon, Remi, Chaerin, and May have officially ended their group activities as of today." They added, "Haeyoon, Jiwon, Remi, and May have decided to terminate their contracts, while Yuju, Bora, and Chaerin will continue their individual activities under FNC Entertainment."

The agency also expressed an apology to fans, stating, "Please continue to watch over the members who will now walk new paths and warm support for those who are about to start anew."

Cherry Bullet debuted in January 2019 with the single album 'Let's Play Cherry Bullet' and was the first new girl group from FNC Entertainment in over six years after AOA. Originally a ten-member group, they reformed into a seven-member group after Mirae, Kokoro, and Linlin left in December of the same year.
