'Idol Star Athletics Championships' to add 2 new categories this year

The 'Idol Star Athletics Championships' are adding 2 new categories this year.

According to reports on June 21, this year's Chuseok special broadcast of the 'Idol Star Athletics Championships' will include the addition of golf and street dance events. Street dance in particular is expected to see fierce competition, showcasing high-level performances. As for golf, many idol members are known to enjoy it as a hobby.

Several officials from MBC have stated they've already begun preparing for the new events with the production team, and reports revealed they plan to begin filming in August.

As previously reported, the 'ISAC' event is a holiday special program that's been airing since 2010, but took a 2-year hiatus after 2022 due to the COVID-19 epidemic. During the multi-day special, idol singers are challenged to various sporting events.
