Actor Jung Hae In has realized a significant profit from a villa he purchased six years ago.
According to a report on September 8 KST, Jung Hae In bought a villa in Hyosung Villa, a complex in Gangnam's plush Cheongdam-dong neighborhood in September 2018 for 4.4 billion won (approx. $3.3 million USD). Although the villa, which is over 40 years old, has a land area of 2,543 square feet and a total floor area of 2,590 square feet, it has a notable investment value. The villa is two stories, with a floor area of 2,291 square feet on the lower level and 300 square feet on the upper level.
The report also notes that similar villas in the area have seen a significant increase in value. For instance, a 2,491 square-foot unit in Hyosung Villa was sold for 7 billion won ($5.2 million USD) in February 2022. Additionally, the 'Upper House Cheongdam 2nd Phase,' which is a redevelopment project near the area, has a selling price exceeding 8.3 billion won ($6.2 million USD) for units of 2,943 square feet.
A real estate expert commented that Jung Hae In’s villa could potentially fetch around 1 billion won per pyeong, estimating a minimum profit of over 2.8 billion won ($2.1 million USD) over six years.
Currently, Jung Hae In is starring as Choi Seung Hyo in the tvN drama Love Next Door and is set to appear in the film Veteran 2, which is scheduled for release on the 13th.
