Actor Son Seok Gu recently shared a personal story about his past dating experience, revealing an unexpected emotional reaction after a breakup.

On February 25 KST, the latest episode of ‘Yoo In Radio’ was uploaded to YouTube under the title “EP.11: The Manners of That Night | This Month’s Leading Man, Son Seok Gu.” In the episode, Son Seok Gu joined host Yoo In Na for a candid conversation covering various topics, including relationships.

During the episode, the two discussed a listener’s story about a man who was upset after seeing his ex-girlfriend post a couple ring photo with a new partner just a month after their five-year relationship ended. After hearing the story, Son Seok Gu surprised everyone by admitting, “I’ve experienced something similar.”

He explained, “The funny thing is, I was the one who initiated the breakup. I met my ex while living abroad, and after I returned to Korea, we tried long-distance. Eventually, we broke up on good terms. But at some point, I found out she was dating someone new, and for some reason, it really upset me.”

Son Seok Gu then revealed his reaction at the time: “I even called her on video chat and got really angry.”

After sharing his story, he laughed and added, “This situation sounds just like my own experience. No wonder I could relate so well. It’s definitely easier to act when you’re talking about yourself.”

His candid confession, combined with his self-deprecating humor, made for an engaging and relatable moment in the episode.
