Kim Soo Hyun files additional criminal complaints against HOVERLAB & Kim Sae Ron's family for severe defamation + stalking

On May 9 KST, Kim Soo Hyun's label Gold Medalist issued an official statement to announced that the actor has filed additional criminal complaints against HOVERLAB and the bereaved family members of the late actress Kim Sae Ron for defamation and stalking.

1. As of today, Gold Medalist and Kim Soo Hyun have filed additional criminal complaints against Kim Se Eui, operator of the YouTube channel HOVERLAB, for defamation and stalking. Further, we have filed additional criminal complaints against the bereaved family members of the late Kim Sae Ron for severe defamation. 

2. During a press conference held on May 7, 2025, Kim Se Eui claimed that 'Kim Soo Hyun and the late Kim Sae Ron began dating when Kim Sae Ron was in middle school, and the couple had sexual intercourse for the first time when Kim Sae Ron was in her second year of middle school, during her winter break. There is a voice recording file which serves as proof of this. Kim Soo Hyun' side offered the informant who possesses this recording 4 billion KRW in order to obtain the recording. Then, when the informant refused, Kim Soo Hyun's side hired 2 killers, attempting to murder the informant.' These absurd claims are entirely false, and yet the YouTuber spoke as if they were evidence-based facts. 

3. Furthermore, Kim Se Eui stated, 'On Friday night exactly 5 days before the crime, a Korean and a Chinese killer arrived in the United States through JFK International Airport. In fact, this case is currently being investigated by the FBI, not the New Jersey police. On their way to work, the informant was stabbed nine times in the neck in a parking lot. The Korean killer is Lee Han Gu, a man born in 1992 and whose registered address is Gwangyang, South Jeolla Province. The Chinese killer is a Joseon-jok (an ethnic Korean of Chinese nationality). The two have been arrested by the FBI, and the investigation revealed that these individuals spoke on the phone with someone affiliated with Lee Jin Ho right before the attack. This is clearly an attempted murder case.' However, these claims are completely illogical from the perspective of any reasonable person. 

4. Regarding Gold Medalist, Kim Se Eui made the following accusations: 'Lawyers from Law Firm LKB & Partners came searching for the informant at their address. A tenant couple who was renting the home testified that they felt threatened by a muscular Chinese man who appeared to be an ethnic Korean, accompanying the 2 lawyers from LKB & Partners. LKB's chief attorney also attempted to coax the informant over the phone, and these recordings are also in the FBI's possession.' Once again, these accusations are false and plainly unfounded.

5. We would like to reiterate that the above accusations made by Kim Se Eui are fully fabricated lies. Kim Se Eui indiscriminately spread false rumors about Kim Soo Hyun using forged recordings and images found on the internet. These crimes are of a much more serious degree than the crimes committed by the YouTuber until this point. Therefore, Kim Soo Hyun and Gold Medalist have decided to take action by filing criminal complaints against Kim Se Eui and the bereaved family members of the late Kim Sae Ron, and we will not stop until these individuals are punished according to the law and due process.
