On July 3, the main poster and trailer for the thriller film 'Wall to Wall' directed by Kim Tae Joon have been unveiled.
'Wall to Wall' tells the unpredictable and tense story of Woosung, played by Kang Ha Neul, a determined buyer who finally secures his own 84-square-meter apartment but becomes plagued by mysterious and incessant noise from the neighbors above. The film explores the fierce conflict and escalating tension between neighbors over the issue of noise disturbance.
The newly released main poster captures the peak of the mounting conflict between Woosung, his upstairs neighbor Jinho, and Eunhwa, who lives in the penthouse at the top floor. Woosung’s exhausted expression, despite wearing earplugs, vividly conveys his deep frustration caused by the unexplained noise.
Meanwhile, Jinho’s tense gaze toward an unknown target and Eunhwa’s cold, overseeing stare from the penthouse hint at the sharp tensions brewing within the apartment complex. The tagline, “What fault does the apartment have? Ultimately, it’s the people who are the problem,” highlights the bitter clashes and raises curiosity about the unfolding story.
The main trailer intensifies this atmosphere by showing how suspicions and conflicts among the neighbors escalate due to the persistent noise. Woosung, having poured all his resources into finally owning a home, struggles through falling property values, company theft, and night delivery jobs to survive each day.
Yet, his nightmare continues at home. He suffers sleepless nights due to the relentless noise and is wrongly accused as the culprit. Desperate, Woosung confronts Eunhwa, the penthouse resident and building representative. Eunhwa, amid the approaching GTX train opening and a desire to avoid trouble, coolly dismisses his pleas.
When Woosung receives a note from the downstairs neighbors begging for quiet, he begins to feel watched and increasingly paranoid, saying, “I think the people downstairs aren’t normal.” The conflict spirals out of control as the downstairs neighbors pressure him, claiming, “The noise only happens when you’re home.”
Jinho, joining Woosung in investigating the noise source, raises the stakes with the question, “Do you think the downstairs can beat the upstairs?” Eunhwa’s cryptic line, “What fault does the apartment have? Ultimately, it’s the people who are the problem,” paired with a bloodied and dazed Woosung, deepens the intrigue about the turbulent events to come and what fate awaits him.
'Wall to Wall' will be released on Netflix on the 18th.
