Galaxy Corporation, home to K-pop icon G-Dragon, has announced its first large-scale audition for a groundbreaking virtual K-pop group. The company announced that 'The 2025 Global Virtual Artist Audition' will take place on September 8 at El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, open to all genders, races, and ages.
This marks Galaxy Corporation's first public audition campaign under the newly formed artist division and will be a bold step forward in redefining the future of K-pop. The global audition is designed to discover and debut a new virtual K-pop group.
The company aims to create “entertainers without borders” whose digital avatars will be brought to life through motion capture, vocal performances, and interactive fan engagement. Selected artists will undergo professional training in singing, rap, dance, and virtual stage presence before debuting as part of a fully virtual idol group.
The initiative marks Galaxy’s debut project under its new artist division and reflects its mission to push the boundaries of identity and performance in K-pop. Known for producing Netflix’s hit reality competition Physical 100, the company is now turning its sights to the metaverse era of entertainment.
The auditions will first take place in Los Angeles, with additional global cities to follow.
