Singer-turned-actress Yoon Eun Hye, a former member of Baby V.O.X, opened up about her first meeting with OH MY GIRL’s Hyojung in a recent YouTube vlog from their friendship trip to Jeju Island.
The video, titled “No, It’s Not a Honeymoon—It’s a Friendship Trip | Yoon Eun Hye and OH MY GIRL Hyojung’s 2 Nights, 3 Days in Gimnyeong, Jeju”, was uploaded to Yoon Eun Hye’s personal YouTube channel on October 28th KST. The vlog captures the pair enjoying a peaceful getaway and reminiscing about how they first met.
The two idols originally became close while appearing together on the 2022 tvN variety show “Once in a Lifetime, Kilimanjaro.” Over coffee at a Jeju café, they recalled that first meeting.
Yoon Eun Hye revealed with a playful tone, “Hyojung dropped honorifics from the very beginning. I told her, ‘You were kind of rude!’” she laughed.
Hyojung responded with a smile, “I just wanted to become close quickly,” explaining why she spoke informally from the start.
Yoon continued, “In a way, she was still like a baby. She was tense and trying hard, but somehow she still ended up speaking casually to me. It was actually very lovable.” She added, “It didn’t feel offensive at all.”
Upon hearing this, Hyojung cheekily replied, “Okay then, I’ll keep speaking informally from now on.”
Yoon Eun Hye, born in 1984, is 41 years old, while Hyojung, born in 1994, is 10 years her junior. Despite the age difference, the two have built a close, genuine friendship that fans continue to enjoy through their joint content.
