The '2025 MAMA AWARDS' has decided to cancel its special stage bringing to life the fictional boy group Saja Boys from 'K-Pop Demon Hunters'.
On November 29 KST, BOYNEXTDOOR's label KOZ Entertainment announced that member Leehan's scheduled appearance at the '2025 MAMA AWARDS' day 2 on the same day has been cancelled.
Originally, the '2025 MAMA AWARDS' was set to bring Saja Boys to life with BOYNEXTDOOR's Leehan, RIIZE's Wonbin, TWS's Shinyu, and ZEROBASEONE's Park Gunwook and Han Yujin making up the group's members. However, in light of the tragic apartment fire incident in the Tai Po District of Hong Kong, the second day of the '2025 MAMA AWARDS' will also undergo major alterations to its overall tone as well as the stage lineup, including the cancellation of stages deemed "unfit" for the more solemn atmosphere. Day one saw all attending artists dressed in black or toned down colors, and some artists changed the lyrics of their songs as not to cause offense to mourning Hong Kong residents.
Meanwhile, day 2 of the '2025 MAMA AWARDS' will proceed as planned later this evening on November 29 HKT, hosted by Kim Hye Soo.
