aespa's Karina shares funny fan encounters, says she was mistaken for a "regular person" in the U.S.

Aespa member Karina recently shared amusing stories about her interactions with fans abroad, sparking interest among viewers.

In a video released on November 25 on the YouTube channel W KOREA, titled “Why Did Aespa’s Karina Burst Into Laughter While Doing Makeup? Karina's ASMR is Moving in a Way”, Karina revealed her unique makeup techniques alongside entertaining experiences she had in the U.S.

In the video, Karina demonstrated her self hair-and-makeup routine, noting, “but these days, there are many fans who are looking forward to my hair and makeup done by myself.” She explained her distinctive approach: “Usually, with just one lipstick, I tend to do my entire makeup look. I use it for eyeshadow, blush, and lip color.”

When asked by the production team if she had ever unexpectedly run into fans on the street, Karina shared a special anecdote from a U.S. schedule.

She recounted, “When I went to the U.S. for a work event, I was pretty sure they were a fan. I once went to Universal Studios, and they were wearing our concert merch T-shirt, but they didn't recognize me, even though we were in line together.”

Karina explained that she didn’t immediately greet the fan, trying to play it cool, but later ran into them again on another ride, at which point they finally exchanged greetings. She shared the story with laughter, enjoying the series of coincidences.

Another entertaining moment occurred in Los Angeles. Karina said, “When I recently went to buy cosmetics in LA, there was a woman there who complimented me and asked for my Instagram.”

She recalled the encounter with humor: “She asked, ‘Do you have Instagram?’ I thought, 'I do have one,' but I couldn't tell her because (I was shy),” reflecting on the amusing meeting with an inquisitive fan.

Through this video, Karina showcased her status as a globally recognized artist while giving viewers a lighthearted glimpse into her natural and candid interactions with fans abroad.
