Attorney representing Kim Sae Ron's family reveals alleged evidence of conversations between Kim Soo Hyun & Kim Sae Ron obtained through 'forensic extraction'

Attorney Bu Ji Suk of Buyou Law Firm, representing the family of the late actress Kim Sae Ron, forensic extraction of KakaoTalk messages exchanged between the late actress and actor Kim Soo Hyun prove that the two stars were dating in 2018. This would be when Kim Sae Ron was 18-years old, 2-years before she turned of legal age in South Korea.

On December 4 KST, Bu Ji Suk stated, "To prevent any further misunderstandings, we will disclose the contents of the KakaoTalk messages obtained via forensic extraction and submitted to the police as evidence to prove that Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun dated in 2018."

The attorney continued, "Kim Sae Ron's side has participated diligently in the ongoing investigations, submitting all electronic devices which belonged to Kim Sae Ron to the police. Kim Soo Hyun's legal representative, attorney Go Sang Rok, claimed that previously revealed KakaoTalk messages, dated April 2, 2018, were conversations that Kim Sae Ron had with other acquaintances, clipped and put together to look like they were exchanged with Kim Soo Hyun. However, according to KakaoTalk messages recently obtained through forensic extraction, Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron did in fact exchange those messages in 2018."

The statement added on, "The photo shown (above) is a screen shot of a KakaoTalk conversation between Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun which occurred on April 9, 2018. Kim Sae Ron took a screen shot of the conversation on April 12, 2018, and saved it on her phone."

The legal representative for the side of the late Kim Sae Ron's family then asserted, "There is further evidence that Kim Soo Hyun dated Kim Sae Ron while she was still a minor. Below are KakaoTalk messages exchanged between the two on July 21 and July 22, 2018." The photo provided by the attorney (below) contained transcribed conversations allegedly between Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun, including words and phrases like "Saero Naero" and "I love you".

[The conversation above details what Kim Soo Hyun was alleged up to on his day off during mandatory military service, which he spent going to the PC cafe.]

[Note: Kim Soo Hyun began his mandatory military service on October 23, 2017 and was discharged on July 1, 2019.]

Finally, Bu Ji Suk claimed, "We would like to reiterate that all of the evidence thus far shown has been submitted to the police. There was no forgery involved. Please refrain from raising meaningless accusations of manipulation, and wait patiently for the investigation results." 

In response to the above assertions, Kim Soo Hyun's legal representative Go Sang Rok refuted, "Kim Soo Hyun is known to express his affection and show attention to everyone around him, particularly his close acquaintances, his staff, and fellow entertainers in the industry. No one has ever misunderstood his expressions of affection as expressions of love. Neither did the late actress Kim Sae Ron."
