Actor Jang Dong Yoon recently released his first feature film, 'Nuruk'. He shared that directing was very stressful and hard. Because of the heavy pressure, he wants to take a break from directing and focus on his acting for now.
The movie is about an 18-year-old girl named Da Seul who loves makgeolli (traditional Korean rice wine). When the wine's taste suddenly changes, she goes on a journey to find the missing "nuruk," which is the special ingredient used to make the wine.

Jang Dong Yoon explained that the "nuruk" represents personal belief or faith. He hopes the movie encourages people to never give up on what they believe in, even when things feel like they are falling apart.
He has starred in shows and movies like 'School 2017', 'The Tale of Nokdu', 'Daily Dose of Sunshine', 'Mantis', and 'Beautiful Days'. He said that directing helped him grow because he now understands exactly what directors need from actors. He was very happy to hear that audiences found comfort in his movie, and he hopes to keep telling warm, human stories.
