Actor Ahn Hyo Seop, often dubbed SBS’s “poster child,” is making his return with ‘Sold Out On You.’
On April 15, a press conference for SBS’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Sold Out On You’ was held at the SBS building in Mokdong, Yangcheon District, Seoul. In attendance were Ahn Hyo Seop, Chae Won Bin, Kim Bum, and director Ahn Jong Yeon.
‘Sold Out On You’ is a seasonal romance about “fully booked” individuals, centering on perfectionist farmer Matthew Lee (Ahn Hyo Seop) and top-selling home shopping host Dam Ye Jin (Chae Won Bin), whose lives become intertwined day and night.

This marks Ahn Hyo Seop’s return to SBS dramas three years after 'Dr. Romantic 3' in 2023. Previously, he earned the nickname “SBS’s poster child” after leading multiple successful SBS dramas, including 'Still 17,' 'Dr. Romantic 2,' 'Dr. Romantic 3,' and 'Business Proposal.'
“I feel shy about being called SBS’s poster child,” Ahn said. “Thankfully, I’ve worked on several projects with SBS, and whenever I read a good script, it often turns out to be from SBS. Having built strong teamwork over time, it feels like I’ve returned home.”
Despite his consistent success, Ahn admitted he tries not to feel pressured. “Nothing really changes just because I feel burdened, so I try to stay focused on the present,” he shared.
Speaking about the filming atmosphere, Ahn Hyo Seop added, “Everyone is ambitious in their own way. There’s a hidden desire for comedy within all of us. When we get on set, we have so many ideas to share, but since we’re all considerate of each other, rehearsals were always fun.”

He continued, “We devoted six months to this project, which is a long time. I wanted that time to be a happy one, so I filmed with that mindset. I felt happy and excited every day, and in a way, I feel like I’ve already won.”
Co-star Chae Won Bin praised Ahn, saying, “He’s incredibly funny. Whenever he has an idea, he approaches with a subtle smile from afar and delivers it at 200%. I learned a lot from him.”
She also spoke about Kim Bum, adding, “He’s very kind and made us feel comfortable so we could express ourselves well. We joked around a lot, and thanks to him, the soft and warm dynamic between Eric and Ye Jin came across nicely.”

Kim Bum shared a lighthearted anecdote about Ahn, saying, “During rehearsals, Hyo Seop sometimes laughs to himself and then says, ‘No, that’s not it,’ and moves on. That happens quite often.”
He added about the team chemistry, “Including the director, the four actors, and even the writer, many of us are introverts. At first, we were reserved, but as filming progressed, we grew more comfortable and had a lot of fun. Because we share similar personalities, there were things we understood without even having to say them.”
Meanwhile, ‘Sold Out On You’ is set to premiere on SBS on April 22 at 9 PM.
