Akdong Musician (AKMU)’s Suhyun returned to YouTube after approximately three years, reconnecting with fans through her long-awaited comeback.

On April 11, Suhyun uploaded a new video to her channel titled 'I’m back | The Princess Knows Nothing,' marking her official return to content creation. In the video, she revisited some of her past YouTube content and reflected on her earlier experiences online.

She also recalled a memorable moment involving pop star Sabrina Carpenter, explaining that her agency had once suggested an interview collaboration. “I was hesitant because my English wasn’t strong enough,” she said. “But I wanted to get closer since we were the same age, so we filmed together. Now she’s become a global star dominating the Billboard charts.” She added that Carpenter left a strong impression on her, describing her as bright and kind.

Suhyun also rewatched her past beauty content and shared how her perspective has changed. “These days, I mostly go out with a bare face,” she said. “I believe the best beauty routine is taking good care of basic skincare. It’s important to maintain what you already have.” She emphasized her renewed philosophy toward beauty and self-care.

Expressing her affection for YouTube, she added, “Creating content on YouTube was one of the happiest and most enjoyable parts of my 20s. I really want to enjoy this activity again.” She also expressed gratitude to her long-time subscribers for staying with her during her hiatus. “In a time when there is so much content out there, I’m thankful that 1.65 million people are still subscribed,” she said jokingly. “I’m surprised you didn’t even unsubscribe.”

Regarding her new direction, Suhyun shared that she wants to move away from highly produced content. “Rather than making grand, large-scale videos like big YouTube channels, I want to show my everyday life and the attitude I live with as a ‘princess,’” she explained. “I also want to share stories with my friends who are also ‘princes and princesses’ in their own lives.”

Previously, Suhyun appeared on tvN’s 'You Quiz on the Block,' where she candidly opened up about a difficult slump she experienced. “I stayed in my room, played games, ordered delivery food, and lost track of day and night,” she said. “I ate compulsively every day, gained weight rapidly, and felt physically exhausted. It felt like I couldn’t see my future.”

Through her return to YouTube, Suhyun is expected to continue sharing her recovery process and personal growth more openly, drawing anticipation from fans for her next chapter.
