BY K-Soul · April 20, 2026

Taeyang of Big Bang has confirmed his solo comeback for May 18. As Big Bang celebrates its 20th debut anniversary and prepares for a world tour, Taeyang is set to continue his momentum with the release of his fourth full-length album.

According to TenAsia on April 20, Taeyang will return with his fourth studio album 'QUINTESSENCE' on May 18. This marks his first solo comeback in three years since his second EP 'Down to Earth' in 2023. In terms of full-length albums, it will be his first in approximately nine years since 'WHITE NIGHT,' released in August 2017.

Notably, the album will feature Australian pop star The Kid LAROI, known for global hits such as 'Stay' and 'Without You.' Also joining the lineup are ALLDAY PROJECT members Woochan and Tarzzan, labelmates from The Black Label.

Taeyang recently took the stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California on April 12 and 19 (local time) as part of BIGBANG, engaging with global fans and showcasing his peak performance ahead of his solo return.

Marking their 20th anniversary, Big Bang used the Coachella stage as a launchpad for renewed global activities, with a world tour also planned for the second half of the year. With both group and solo projects underway, Taeyang is expected to have one of his busiest years yet.
