Cha Seung Won and Kim Do Hoon confirmed for new tvN spy drama ‘Retired Agent Management Team’

BY Demian09 · April 14, 2026

Actors Cha Seung Won and Kim Do Hoon have been confirmed for tvN’s upcoming drama ‘Retired Agent Management Team.’

The series is a spy action bromance that follows Kim Cheol Su, a former black agent of the National Intelligence Service who now lives an ordinary life running a neighborhood car wash, and Ko Yo Han, a once-promising elite agent who is demoted to the 'Retired Agents Management Team.' The two men, who come from very different positions, end up working together in unexpected circumstances.

The drama is directed by Jin Chang Kyu, known for 'Buried Hearts' and 'Military Prosecutor Doberman.' Cha Seung Won plays Kim Cheol Su, a retired NIS black agent who has left behind his former high-risk life and now works as a car wash owner while living as a family man. Although he appears to be living quietly, he still retains his strong instincts and passion as an agent.

Kim Do Hoon plays Ko Yo Han, a talented “super ace” agent who receives attention for his outstanding skills when he first joins the NIS but is later assigned to the basement-level 'Retired Agents Management Team.' He struggles to return to active duty and becomes increasingly anxious as opportunities become scarce, while working to rebuild his reputation.

The story follows the two men as they join forces to track down a traitor operating within a criminal organization. Through their mission, they develop an unpredictable partnership filled with conflict, teamwork, and growth.

The production team said, “We are reassured by the casting of Cha Seung Won, who brings strong and stable acting, and Kim Do Hoon, who has a powerful presence. The chemistry between a retired veteran agent and a rookie will be one of the key highlights.” They added, “We ask for great anticipation for ‘Retired Agent Management Team,’ which will deliver action, comedy, and bromance together.”

‘Retired Agent Management Team’ is scheduled to air in the second half of the year.
