Court suspends contracts of Fantasy Boys members and BAE173’s Doha in case against PocketDol Studio

BY Demian09 · April 21, 2026

A court ruled in favor of six members of Fantasy Boys and BAE173’s Doha in their legal dispute with PocketDol Studio, granting injunctions to suspend their exclusive contracts.

In November 2025, BAE173’s Doha and Fantasy Boys members Kang Minseo, Lee Hanbin, Hikaru, Hong Sungmin, Kim Gyurae, and Kaedan filed lawsuits against PocketDol Studio. The plaintiffs requested confirmation that their exclusive contracts were invalid, along with injunctions to temporarily suspend their enforcement.

On April 16, the court accepted the injunction request for the six Fantasy Boys members. While the agency presented statements related to payments for the first and second quarters of 2025, the court found that the lack of detailed income information and missing supporting documentation weakened the credibility of the agency’s claims. The court cited this lack of transparency as a key factor contributing to a breakdown of trust between the parties.

In response, PocketDol Studio and Phunky Studio announced plans to appeal the decision. The agencies argued that the court did not fully consider the operational realities of entertainment management and contract execution, stating that the ruling focused mainly on procedural issues.

On April 21, it was also confirmed that the court separately approved an injunction requested by Doha against PocketDol Studio.

Following the ruling, Doha posted a statement on Instagram under his birth name, Na Gyu Min, expressing gratitude to fans for their patience and apologizing for the delayed communication. He stated that the court decision allowed him to move forward from a stalled situation and expressed his intention to resume activities and return in his rightful position soon.

Regarding the decision, Doha took to his Instagram to share the following message:

"Hello, this is Na Gyu Min.

I sincerely apologize for having to speak to you like this after such a long time of waiting.

This was the group I first joined, and my first full album also held great significance for me. Because of that, I prepared more sincerely than anyone and truly hoped to meet you again on stage.

However, there were circumstances that were too unfair for me to handle on my own. Contrary to my intentions, I was no longer able to continue the scheduled activities due to the company’s unilateral decision. After much consideration, I ultimately had no choice but to make a difficult decision. I cannot honestly say that I have no regrets about that choice.

I am truly sorry for causing confusion and concern to those who have waited for me. I also hope that my situation does not place any burden on the remaining members. I sincerely support and wish for this activity to lead to good results.

It weighs heavily on my heart to say goodbye in such an unfortunate way. I sincerely apologize to everyone who waited, and for not being able to bring things to a proper conclusion.

I am sorry for always asking you to wait, and I am deeply grateful."
