Former ENHYPEN member Heeseung makes first official appearance after rebranding to EVAN

Former ENHYPEN member Heeseung has made his first official public appearance since changing his stage name to EVAN.

Evan attended a promotional photo call event for a global colored contact lens brand held on the afternoon of the 22nd at Musinsa Megastore in Seongdong District, Seoul.

On the day, EVAN drew attention as he appeared with blond hair. He paired his bright blond look with a sleek black suit, exuding a refined, princely aura.

In particular, he attracted attention by posing with heart gestures and warmly greeting fans throughout the event, maintaining a bright and friendly presence. This appearance is especially significant as it marks his first official event since departing ENHYPEN and announcing his solo career under a new name.

EVAN debuted in 2020 as a member of ENHYPEN, where he served as the group’s eldest member and main vocalist, contributing to numerous hit songs. He also showcased his songwriting, composition, and producing abilities through tracks such as “Highway 1009” and “Dial Tragedy.”

However, on the 10th of last month, while still actively promoting with the group, he unexpectedly announced his departure. At the time, his agency Belift Lab stated that EVAN had clearly established his musical direction and that he would pursue independent activities while ENHYPEN would continue as a six-member group.

The announcement sparked backlash from some fans, who demanded he reconsider his departure, but both ENHYPEN and EVAN have since been preparing to continue their respective careers separately.

On the 8th, Evan officially announced his new stage name and launched his own social media channels. He explained that “EVAN” is a name he has used since childhood, adding, “I will approach fans step by step with music that fully captures my most honest and natural self.”

In newly released profile photos, EVAN also showcased a more natural charm, contrasting with the more polished and flashy image he had during his idol days.

As he makes his first official appearance following his rebranding, attention is now focused on what kind of activities Evan will pursue as he begins his solo career.
