Kang Mina explains I.O.I absence, focuses on acting career

Kang Mina has shared her thoughts on not participating in I.O.I’s 10th anniversary reunion.

Kang Mina attended the highlight screening and press conference for the Netflix series “If Wishes Could Kill” at CGV Yongsan I Park Mall in Seoul. The event was joined by director Park Yoon Seo and fellow cast members.

During the press conference, Kang Mina addressed her absence from the I.O.I reunion project, expressing regret. She said that while she was disappointed not to take part in the 10th anniversary activities, she believed focusing on her pre scheduled acting commitments was the best decision.

She also apologized to fans and asked for understanding, saying she hopes to be viewed with kindness as she continues to concentrate on her acting career.

“If Wishes Could Kill” tells the story of high school students who struggle to escape a curse tied to an app that grants wishes but foretells sudden death. The series is set to premiere on Netflix on April 24.
