Kim Hee Ae leads ‘Gold Digger’ in fatal romance with Noh Sang Hyun

Veteran actress Kim Hee Ae is set to return with a seductive and intense romance in JTBC’s upcoming drama 'Gold Digger.'

On April 29, JTBC officially announced the cast lineup for the new mystery romance series 'Gold Digger' (written by Sun Young, directed by Lim Hyun Wook), confirming appearances by Kim Hee Ae, Noh Sang Hyun, Kim Ji Eun, Cha Hak Yeon (N), and Park Soo Oh.

'Gold Digger' is a mystery romance drama that follows a successful middle-aged woman who falls in love with a much younger man. Their relationship soon becomes entangled in doubt, suspicion, and social prejudice, which leads her to question the sincerity of their love.

Kim Hee Ae plays Min Young Joo, a powerful publishing company CEO who is at the peak of her career. Her life changes when she becomes involved with Jung Jae Hee, played by Noh Sang Hyun, and she finds herself caught between love and mistrust.

Noh Sang Hyun portrays Jung Jae Hee, a freelance designer with an irresistible and dangerous charm. The role marks a transformation in his acting career as he takes on a more enigmatic and provocative character.

Kim Ji Eun, Cha Hak Yeon, and Park Soo Oh play Min Young Joo’s three children, Seo Hyun Seo, Seo Hyun Chul, and Seo Hyun Min. They become deeply confused and emotionally shaken by Jung Jae Hee’s presence in their mother’s life.

Each sibling has a distinct personality, and their concerns, resentment, and anger toward their mother’s relationship intensify the central conflict, creating tension between the family and Jung Jae Hee.

The production team stated, “The story of Jung Jae Hee entering Min Young Joo’s life delivers an addictive level of tension that viewers will not be able to look away from. The mystery surrounding Jung Jae Hee’s true intentions will also be a key point of interest.”
