Kim Jae Wook has made a flawless transformation into a third-generation chaebol executive.
On April 14, tvN’s drama ‘Filing for Love’ unveiled still cuts of Kim Jae Wook fully embodying Jeon Jae Yeol, a third-generation chaebol heir who hides a quiet loneliness behind his perfection.

‘Filing for Love’ is a close-contact audit romance that follows Joo In Ah (played by Shin Hye Sun), a charismatic head of the audit team who harbors a secretive past, and Noh Gi Jun (portrayed by Gong Myung), once an ace auditor who is suddenly demoted to handling internal misconduct cases. The story unfolds as the two characters conduct intense audits before unexpectedly falling deeply in love, flipping the dynamics of their relationship. Alongside them, the struggles of Audit Team 3—tasked with investigating sometimes trivial, sometimes humorous, yet often poignant cases of workplace misconduct—add both entertainment and intrigue.
In the drama, Kim Jae Wook takes on the role of Jeon Jae Yeol, the executive vice chairman of Haemoo Group and a third-generation chaebol heir who possesses both exceptional skill and character. Though he appears to have everything, he harbors hidden wounds beneath his polished exterior, raising curiosity about the true emotions he keeps concealed. Anticipation is high for Kim Jae Wook’s nuanced portrayal of a man who rarely reveals his inner thoughts.

In the released stills, Jeon Jae Yeol commands attention with his noble charisma. Dressed in a perfectly tailored suit, his composed stride through a lobby exudes confidence. While he maintains a flawless appearance at all times, a subtle trace of sorrow in his gaze hints at deeper layers, heightening intrigue about his hidden secrets and how he will become entangled with Joo In Ah and Noh Gi Jun.
Kim Jae Wook shared, “I found the concept of an ‘internal misconduct audit team’ quite unique and intriguing. The script was fast-paced and easy to read,” adding, “Each episode presents a variety of stories. The realistic cases and believable characters create strong immersion, and watching the two leads grow closer while carrying out their duties is especially compelling.”

Speaking about his character, he said, “Jeon Jae Yeol is someone who carries the heavy responsibility of leading a corporation. Because he cannot reveal the sharpness that comes from that burden or the fierce competition of corporate succession, he always maintains a composed and leader-like demeanor. At the same time, he is a lonely individual who lives with deep emotional voids and regrets over past choices.”
Even before its premiere, ‘Filing for Love’ has been building excitement with its star-studded cast, including Shin Hye Sun, Gong Myung, Kim Jae Wook, and Hong Hwa Yeon. The drama is set to premiere on April 25.
