Singer Lee Chae Yeon candidly revealed that she underwent a hair transplant following rumors about hair loss.
On April 29, Lee Chae Yeon appeared as a guest on SBS Power FM’s radio show '12 O’Clock with Joo Hyun Young.'
During the broadcast, DJ Joo Hyun Young posed a quiz, saying, “Lee Chae Yeon once revealed on a 2025 variety show that something happened while she was doing a wave during her first 'Waterbomb' performance.” The correct answer was “hair loss.”
Addressing the topic, Lee Chae Yeon explained, “Since it was my first 'Waterbomb' performance, I prepared very thoroughly and carefully filled in the sparse areas of my hair with hair fibers. But they were completely washed away by the water.” She continued, “As I kept doing the wave dance, my hair was pushed back, and my forehead looked empty. That’s when the hair loss rumors started.”
Lee Chae Yeon added, “I thought, ‘This is serious. I have to keep performing at Waterbomb,’ so I immediately got a hair transplant. It cost me a lot of money.” Her honest confession drew attention and sympathy from listeners, highlighting the pressures performers face regarding appearance during live events.
