LUCY is set to awaken a sense of childhood nostalgia with its upcoming full-length album.
On April 22 KST, the band released the trailer for its second studio album 'Childish' through official social media channels, hinting at a return to its signature imaginative storytelling.
The trailer follows a journey back to “Lucy Island,” beginning with a Goldberg machine set in motion by Shin Kwang Il. Members Shin Yechan, Choi Sangyeop, and Jo Wonsang are seen engaging in simple, childlike activities such as stacking blocks and playing darts with expressionless faces. As the sequence concludes, a train bursts through a wall from the album cover, bringing color and energy into an otherwise monochrome world.
A ticket to “Lucy Island” revealed in the video features the album’s release date, “April 29, 6 PM,” alongside “LUCY 2020,” referencing the group’s debut year. The concept suggests a renewed journey led by Shin Kwang Il, reconnecting with the band’s original identity.
'Childish' marks LUCY’s first full-group album in approximately one year and eight months, featuring 15 tracks including the title song “All” Jo Wonsang once again led the album’s production, continuing his role as the band’s primary producer since debut.
Members Shin Yechan, Choi Sangyeop, and Shin Kwang Il also contributed to songwriting and composition, enhancing the album’s depth. Additionally, the release will include re-recorded full-group versions of songs from previous mini albums featuring Shin Kwang Il.
To celebrate the comeback, LUCY will hold a special busking event on April 25 in Seoul, with the location to be announced shortly before the event. The band will then release 'Childish' on April 29 at 6 PM, followed by its ninth solo concert 'Island' at KSPO Dome on May 16–17, marking its first performance at the venue.
