Actress Shin Hye Sun, who showcased her exceptional acting skills through Netflix’s 'The Art of Sarah' this past February, is once again making waves with her new drama 'Filing for Love.' The series premiered with a 4.4% viewership rating and quickly gained praise, rising to 6.3% by its second episode.
Episodes 1 and 2 of tvN’s new weekend drama 'Filing for Love,' which aired on April 25 and 26, introduced Shin Hye Sun as Joo In Ah, the head of the audit office at Haemoo Group, leaving a powerful first impression.
Joo In Ah made a striking entrance on her first day, immediately shaking up the company’s atmosphere. Living up to her ominous nicknames among employees—such as “Joo Out,” “Joo Ghost,” and “Joo Sniper”—she commanded attention with her overwhelming presence. During a casual greeting with staff, she lightened the mood with a playful joke, saying, “Assistant Joo, which ‘Joo’ are you? The ‘alcohol Joo (酒)’?” However, as soon as work began, her demeanor shifted sharply, revealing her true nature as a ruthless audit chief.

In Ah assigned Noh Ki Joon (played by Gong Myung) as the PM in charge of workplace misconduct, establishing a tense superior-subordinate dynamic. When Ki Joon protested his reassignment, she mocked him, saying, “What makes you so special? Do you have superpowers? Can you fly? Teleport? Shoot energy blasts?”—a biting remark that gave viewers a strange sense of satisfaction. She continued to provoke him at every turn, adding to the show’s entertainment value. Notably, during a team dinner, she passionately sang the song “Fool,” openly targeting Ki Joon, showcasing her unexpected mix of charisma and comedic flair.
Shin Hye Sun fully transformed into the unconventional character Joo In Ah, capturing viewers’ attention from the very first episode. Her detailed portrayal, reminiscent of a real-life corporate superior, injected energy into the drama, while her unique ability to embody complex characters heightened immersion. With her presence firmly established early on, anticipation is growing for what she will bring to 'Filing for Love' in the episodes ahead.
'Filing for Love' airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 PM.
